I vacuumed the house for the first time in literal years, and now I'm stuck with my carpets flopped over the balcony because I don't have the physical strength to wag them hard enough to make the dust and dandruff fall off and I don't want to have to vacuum the carpets after vacuuming the floor.

I could just throw them off the balcony and go wag them against the rug pole but that would require walking and I can just take half-hour breaks from carpet-waggling to let them air out. I actually can just clean the apartment for the entire day, how about that.

[that's good to hear. i feel there's a bit of truth in the 'rising tide lifts all boats' metaphor that really applies to mental health. it does happen and it can be quite frankly overwhelming, and so we don't always get any real benefit from it, but at other times little bits of progress happen slowly across the board, in a manageable way, and we can use the momentum ]
