I'm in the same situation -- the books need reshelving, I need to go toss the recyclables, and there's still a big pile of Unsorted(tm) on my floor (which I piled on the couch while cleaning lol) but it does look a lot cleaner.
I've also been having slow progress on the... ex-friend problem... so that also feels productive.
