Domtops in fics are always written to have such uncomplicated and healthy relationships to their sexualities and for my mental health I need us to collectively start giving them complexes about being some kind of monstrous predatory freak of nature instead.

I'm so glad. This is largely self-appeal (I am also writing it into a fic atm) but it just feels like such a No Duh arc to give to a character who is a top. Move over gay and manliness angst, say hello to having literally contradictory desires XD

It is actually pretty weird how little it comes up considering the "gays are predators" propaganda has been around since... god, who knows how long?

Highkey I think it's b/c it's already acceptable for men to desire a kind of control over other men's bodies so they don't necessarily recognise it when that occurs as a homoerotic impulse. A lot of people treat penetration as inherently masculine so wanting to top another guy is considered somehow "less gay". A hole is a hole and all that.
