yvannairieThe Hazbin discourse is so fucking funny to me as someone with a background in animation because the art, music, voice acting and art direction are so obviously self-evidently good that the way people complain about the quality of the show becomes an incredible self-report about how they think Vivziepop is wasting her talents by making adult entertainment with adult sensibilities.
It's like South Park discourse all over again, except now it's being done by people who could see the artistic merit of Bojack Horseman, they just didn't like it, but because they clearly fucking like the style of HH/HB, they have to admit that they're just not into adult animation. I have to laugh.

Date: 1/2/24 20:41 (UTC)I'm glad! I'll probably watch it eventually, I've really liked the maximalist aesthetic sensibilites and the music but I found Helluva Boss exhausting tonally so I'm not super excited to get to it.
