yvannairieSo the theme of the afternoon (late work and also shopping -- I'm good at backprocessing fandom stuff while I do other things) ended up being Wheeljack, specifically G1/Devastation Wheeljack. Me being extra mad at how cute he is, specifically, because

why the fuck is he so cute???
I can't pin it down to a single thing, he's just so enthusiastic and earnest, when things are going well he sounds so excited about that and when things are going badly that is Bad and Someone Please Help Him (a good example is his perfect/subperfect dodge chatters -- his "better luck next time!" is so cheerful and relieved, whereas you can still hear the tension in the "my timing's off!" chatter, like he's almost apologetic, I fucking die), I have such a weakness for "brilliant ditz" characters.
God, it makes me mad enough to punch his dumb fucking adorable face with my own damn fists.
He's so cute, he has to die.
It also definitely makes me wanna do more engineer!Wheeljack things in Prime -- not a new topic, I've thought about his interactions with the team and with the humans a lot, as you do -- b/c today it dawned on me that while he has got his cynical moments, engineer!Wheeljack is a bona fide romantic. He's all Progress! Discovery!! A better life and cool toys for all!! and that
would mean that he and Bulkhead both are emotionally responsive Squishies(tm) and I can't get further than that before I just start crying about how cute they would be.
I'm so mad. He has to die.
