I know I should finish Future Reclaimed but it's just such an exercise in... IDK even what to call it. "You didn't have to do this", "this isn't even good fanservice", "this is so fucking shallow".

I think it's because besides X, 3 is like the first Xenoblade that really spoke to me, so to be dragging thematic material in from the other parts of the franchise just doesn't do anything to me. It's not even good thematic material. It's extremely shallow "you recognise this!" that doesn't meaningfully justify its own existence.

I knew I would be let down but I am surprised just by how disappointing it was.
