An unexpected side-effect of Indivisible and it's visual novel style cutscenes is that it's made me pick up the script to our Sengoku Basara magical girl parody for the first time in a year.
To my delight it's still really fucking funny.
Like, when my writing is good? It's really fucking good and I will feel no shame or embarrassment over the fact that this thing that takes a bunch of classic Shonen clichés and reimagines the context to be about magical girl clichés works, and it works damn well too b/c if there's something me and my cowriter know, it's how to make good on Magical Girl Genre promises.
(I just wish we had more art ready b/c there are few things as motivating as pretty boys in tight short skirts.)
