It was about as good as I expected it to be, which is to say, it was kinda mindless and I wish they'd actually done more to set up the character dynamic b/c it came kinda outta nowhere in the end. I thought the direction was genuinely good, it had a lot of energy and a lot of clever use of the 3-dimensional space with Venom's tentacles. As it is I can't quite figure out why Venom started to have such a positive relationship to Eddie, but I do appreciate it.
I hope the sequel is better.
