I liked Finland's song this year, and I'm sad that it didn't make it into the finals, but that (and Italy, b/c I listen to Italian radio so much) are the only songs I've heard, coming into the European Glitter Party. You might see some liveblogging type posts, but most of it will be going on in my Van vs Eurovision tag on Tumblr, and RN I'm just having a laugh about how we're all Bracing for Politics, and wondering how Ukraine's gonna show up everyone this year, since they really are the MVP of this whole thing.
(Seriously, they've been in the finals every year they've participated, and they've won with both a meme song and a Genuinely Good Song, and gave us Verka Serduchka.)
I honestly figured I'd be more down about ESC b/c I wasn't invited to any viewing parties this year, but two different servers I'm on are full of Europeans so I'm gonna have my viewing party with them. I'm not gonna let Friend Group Drama to bring me down during the Most Important Yearly Holiday.
