It's much harder for me to convert some posts for viewing on DW because it means somehow taking a lot of the observations that I put in the tags (because they were half-formed or only half-related) and, you know

making decisions on what to keep and write to be a part of the body of the text, and what to throw away.

If all of my ideas were copypastable as they are, that would be great, but I used to be (and still am!) so insecure about my ideas sometimes that they end up in the tags and then create a mess down the line.

You can always save ideas privately if you're insecure about them! Not a perfect solution obviously, but throwing parts of a post away sounds so sad somehow.

That's a good idea! I have a bunch of hidden unfinished posts already, most of them copied over from Tumblr, which I should edit to postable quality.
