Actually crazy how much you'd think occasionally having an OS that simply will not do what you want would be frustrating and put me off from experimenting with Mint, but I'm finding out that it's actually the other way around. Even if I have to do things for a slightly cumbersome way for a while, when it does reach a critical level of annoyance I often find myself developing new skills to compensate, which makes using Mint a lot more fun than using Windows.

This is so true though. Using something slightly janky draws more interest than something that was perfect to begin with -- this also seems to apply to fandoms. With nothing to fix, media can be kinda boring.

This also applies to video games! I have a friend who is firmly of the opinion that if a game isn't at least a little bit frustrating, it's never going to be as fun as a game where progress is always effortless and frictionless :D

I've been working with cheap Chinese digital audio players... and using them more than my old iPod which, for the most part, just worked 🤷
