I'm rewatching Patricia Taxxon's video on Don't Hug Me I'm Scared and I definitely wonder if my perspective on "ending explained" videos and their literalism is different from the intended audience of those people, because I used to be the person who picks up on all the subtle details and talks about how they contribute to the overall impression of the work -- being the "explainer" -- because a lot of times I felt like trying to discuss my emotional experiences with a thing were dismissed unless I could point to a concrete object that contains the feature eliciting that emotion.
