Wait, does the HTML writer also take markdown?

To my knowledge the beta version of the editor accepts markdown while the old one does not. And comments also don't, which I find really inconvenient even though I know basic HTML.

Yeah, after some further reading, I found out how to do markdown on the HTML writer -- which is the one I use on mobile. Which makes everything a lot easier, since I also don't have a phone that can do hotstrings and typing out HTML on a mobile keyboard is the worst aggravation that I've ever experienced.

In general I've found that the autoformatting on the HTML writer is really solid? The posts come out looking the way I want even if I'm a little wonky about remembering to open/close certain tags.

Yeah, im pretty sure the HTML thing takes markdown, but I don't know how to use markdown much, haha. I just work with DW like it's Ao3

Yeah, or the other way around -- if you put a post into Markdown it'll still eat HTML.

I use the HTML/plain text editor for the most part b/c the Rich Text editor is pretty glitchy on mobile ^-^);
