Thinks about how the difference between my Bulkhead and the Bulkhead other people write is that other people don't give him any personal demons whereas my Bulkhead just has his in a headlock and refuses to play to their whims.

The end result of both of these is that he's kind of blandly sweet, but maybe that's just me being harsh on my writing and not really seeing the merits in taking the long way around to arrive at my preferred characterisation.
