My tomatoes are finally ripening! In extremely weird order >:| The initial bunch is half-green still and one of the big ones from the later bunches is almost done. My cabbage is also coming along nicely, which clearly means I should make something vegetarian soon.

My mom brought me an honest-to-god raspberry bush and it has been doing great -- new fruit almost every week since I got it -- and the cucumber I planted on a whim on my fallow pot has sprouted incredibly big, so. I might get my own cucumbers after all.

Overall this summer has been kind of uneventful gardening-wise b/c everything on my balcony was brought or bought, and I didn't do anything about it until halfway through June. Still, own harvest is own harvest.

.... oh and I also failed spectacularly at the store yesterday and brought home a spider plant for my hanging planter. I couldn't help it, I saw them and basically just blacked out and woke up back home with one. I officially cannot fit any more plants into my apartment. IDK what I'm gonna do over the winter about the ones I already have.

[my inbox is open. and by inbox i mean letterbox. any of your plants gets overwhelming, exile them over here /joke ]

[my tomatoes are quickly joining the rank and file of the plant-based corpses filling my yard, gsdi. but i got gifted some aloe plants, who live in the shower now i guess. everyone went seriously 'dig for britain' over here but 95% just gave tf up just as quickly. i'm hoping next year to do the plant thing ]

[legit everyone else's plantblogging is good ]

Awesome! My mom gardens a ton so I was always spoiled with fresh produce growing up... I definitely miss having home-grown foods at my disposal.

Also spider plant babies make great gifts for people.
