yvannairie: a bleary-eyed emoticon scratching its head (hm)
I've got so many new developments to share but I've also got a really bad case of molasses brain.

Make the words go, self.

My brain is currently stuck overthinking Control because I'm still kind of. Circling around the themes of it and feeling weirdly overwhelmed by the ending of the main plot, and the only coherent thing I can really say about it is that Langston is the only Valid person working for the Bureau.

Dude just wants to stop a bunch of objects with superpowers and ornery personalities from killing them all, and yet here are the science people and their bosses both constantly finding/making new ones or doing shit that will end the world even without the help of any of the SCPs he's responsible for.

Dude just wants to get back to his cat and gets no respect.

(Control was really good, y'all.)

Also as much as I love Jesse, how is letting Emily "RIP to Dr. Darling but I'm different" Pope in charge of anything a good idea? :'DD

Aaaaand now I'm having weird twitchy thoughts about the Oldest House and brutalism, and how, I think, the reputation brutalism has compared to the creative intention behind it changes the meaning behind the setting.
