Oh, hey, I worked out why TF media that doesn't really do anything with the concept that mecha have two forms annoys me on some level.

"Adaptability" and "progress" are both big themes in the mythos, and I feel like people easily lose sight of the idea that moving forward and change are fundamentally necessary.

(Also I just think it makes the reads a lot more shallow.)
