Few things are as painful as writing a whole fic in your head while lying down on your bed and when you get up to commit it to paper, you can't come up with a single word.

... this usually doesn't happen to me, because there's a distinct difference between writing, scripting and storyboarding for me, and usually if I can't write shit, I already knew I was thinking in script terms but. I guess I'm just unlucky this time.

Hoo boy, this happens a ton to me. I've got whole fics plotted out in meticulous detail in my head, complete with all the words for individual key scenes. However, actually sitting down and committing any of that to the screen feels nearly impossible most of the time. To the point where I've started looking at potential brain-chemstry-altering substances to turbo-charge my focus so that I don't get out of the seat until I've written down something.

It's immensely frustrating.

It's more definitely a focus issue in my case (at least in part). Reason why I'm trying to find solutions that involve improving my ability to focus, one way or another.
