yvannairieA perfectionism mood: If I never start, I retain my potential to the end of time. If I do something and it fails, I will never have that feeling of "... but I could" back, because I've proven to myself that I can't.
(That second part is... obviously not accurate, but having dealt with only getting one shot at everything in my life, it's just not a risk I can bring myself to take with something that I'm so attached to.)
