Iconoclasts had a pretty disappointing ending, actually.
I feel like it's a reference, and it does support Robin's exact arc but it very much leaves everyone else out to dry.
It's just.... Hm. I mean, it's hard to not see the subtext in "stop doing things by yourself" as a lack of support for the game's creator and that's what the end of the world is supposed to be a metaphor for but that also doesn't flow because the world doesn't literally end if someone doesn't get to complete their passion-project and saving the world... never felt like Robin's.
But I do like how the game slowly makes Elro more unlikeable as it goes on b/c as bad as that feels, That's Just What Trauma Is Like.
