I don't even fucking care about spoiling my stories b/c fact is most of the people who engage my more... journal-y, meta-y writing don't exactly go for the type of stories I write

and I've been stuck in the process of explaining my own stories to myself for about two months instead of. Really. Writing???

So why is it that I still feel like I can't use my own fucking writing diary to talk about my writing???

Someone give me permission to drop character, please.

That is good to know! Unconventional and complicated character reads tend to be my Entire Hat and while I'm actually pretty confident on my ability to sell people on them, it's when I run into a situation like this where I wanna start at the bizarre logical conclusion that I start feeling... unsure.

Like I'm already cutting my potential audience in half.

Thank you!! And to be sure, I am very confident that characterisation is the one thing I am. Like. Genuinely good at.

My prose might be garbage and I might be overconfident in my dialogue and my ideas might not be as deep and interesting as I think, but I can make any character interesting, and I can make any ship seaworthy.
