Oh I just realised why I'm in spiky discourse annoyance mode -- a lot of YT media critics I follow are suddenly posting about media literacy and performative fragility and the sanitization of media when these are the people I grit-teeth kept following in 2020 when I was mocked out of their communities for being "overly invested" in fandom drama.

You didn't listen to me then. Why should I listen to anything you have to say now? Is your growth gonna undo my trauma?
