Went to reblog a funny post about the lack of staying power Siege had in the fandom to find out that I've been blocked by the OP. Went to check and I've reblogged exactly a single thing from them where I agreed on their assessment that the plot required a far defter approach than what the writers of the show were capable of.

I mean I don't... mind? But every time I'm blocked and can't immediately locate an answer (like disagreements over big swathers of fandom wank or ace/bi discourse) my brain jumps to "whisper networks" and "you're not popular b/c the popular people are talking shit about you behind your back".

Like @ my brain: buddy we're not even well-known enough for them to do that.

I usually block people on Tumblr because they call my angora bunnies lionheads (or tag them with kink or kin-related tags)... or because they said something homophobic about Poirot. Or, of course, because they're a bot or one of my Fandom Nemeses (these are all people who afaik don't know I exist whose names or styles are like fingernails on a blackboard for me).

But I had a friend who used to advocate blocking more liberally than you need to as a form of stress release and she would definitely say "Block them!!" every time I dropped "Wow, look at this dumb comment I saw on a community post!" in the chat. Maybe you ran into one of her school of thought.
