Web radio is a blessing

So, currently the biggest barrier for me using Spotify over listening to web radio on my phone's browser is that the "starter" lists for Spotify are all... frankly kind of awful, and I haven't been able to find a way to set my region so that it would give me the usual Latino/Italian stuff I listen to on the radio.

I think if I just sat down with my account for a few hours I could set up a few playlists with video game music and some of the Finnish artists I don't loathe, as well as maybe work out that region problem? But I also don't know if Spotify is region-locked the way, say, Netflix is -- so I don't know if going through the effort to get started would amount to anything if I'm still just gonna listen to RMC at work anyway :'D
