Apparently wank about hero/villain ships still happens on the reg and I can't relate at all b/c it's, like, a staple for me to have at least one evil!AU or yandere AU for every ship I have x'D

Yes this post is brought to you by the Con!Wheeljack AU, no I still don't plan on writing it, yes it's still very Sexy to me.

This idea of a Con!Wheeljack AU has given me enough excellent mental images that I might have to figure out how to write it.(Have I ever written Wheeljack before? Not really. Am I any good at Con!AUs? Not really. Has that ever stopped me before? Also not really.)

Also, the hero/villain wank makes me sad, because well-written hero/villain ships are on my list of Favorite Fandom Things.

I may take you up on that once I catch up on all my current WIPs with deadlines XD I may have slightly overcommitted myself for the holidays, but I'm sure I'll be in the market for Shiny New Fic Ideas pretty much as soon as the new year hits and I start my TFP rewatch.

It's so much fun. A good cross-faction enemies-to-lovers fic will keep me up reading until I finish it no matter what time I have to be at work, every time. Especially if they're both figuring out that they have way more in common than they think, but they're MAD ABOUT IT because of the enemy thing, except they really love being around each other...

Yep, it's fun.

MegOP is super interesting, when done in ways I like--I'm a bit picky about it, just because I've run across it in ways where it kind of pulls them both out of character in ways that aren't as interesting to me, but I absolutely love it when writers get into the details of why it goes wrong, and what their different priorities are and how that plays into their relationship. I could totally see a universe in which Wheeljack and Bulkhead parallel that.

In my head, at least, there's a lot to explore with con!Wheeljack and bot!Bulkhead playing off each other really well as far as what they do and how they do it, but they diverge when it comes to what means are acceptable for what ends (which I've been thinking about a lot since your previous post on that topic, with regards to the Decepticon and Autobot movements as a whole--I need to properly sort out my thoughts on that). It's a fun dynamic to play with--so similar in a lot of ways, but different on things that are everything in some sense or another.

Well, I'm not feeling terribly productive today, but thank you! XD I tend to either write ALL THE THINGS or nothing for long stretches of time, but I'm trying to make myself work a little more consistently. I'm definitely fascinated enough by this concept to take a stab at it, once I've got time and energy again. (Note to self: do not sign up for holiday exchanges, procrastinate on fics, and then schedule multiple family visits for the week said exchange is due...)
