Two thoughts that I'm done circling around

1) Just because someone doesn't take advantage of you at your most vulnerable doesn't make them good and trustworthy. It makes them decent, and decent people are still capable of treating you like shit.

2) I can wish someone well, I can want them to have the best life they can possibly have, and I can be entirely genuine about that while wanting fucking nothing to do with them. My personal low opinion of someone is, in fact, not a mark against my ability to be compassionate.
