Saw a post that really validated the feelings I had while I was on a higher doser of my antipsychotic medication (I thought for months that I'd gotten, like, actual brain damage, I ended up seeking out therapy for cognitive issues based on just how wrong and bad it felt) but also that ended with "don't go on antipsychotics"

which

with all due respect, if I got taken off my meds right now, it would kill me. Not only do I not enjoy missing them, I could also physically feel the difference in how much better my brain worked and how much lower my anxiety immediately got and I am not going back. My happiness is worth more to me than having my intellect at the absolute sharpest edge it can possibly be.

Isn't that the whole point of medication? To improve the quality of my life?
