It's been rolling out for a while but it finally happened.
Well, I finally got the Tumblr dashboard update and.... it's pretty bad on desktop, ngl. Infinite scroll is terrible for memory management and you can't turn it off, all the themes are either incredibly high contrast or way too bright (the only one that is a tolerable contrast is the one that is almost entirely white) and the font changed again, but remains to be seen if it's actually more readable this time. Also every URL is suddenly really small.
Some changes I DO like is that titles are no longer huge, the kerning on the text is more readable, and that the dashboard space is used better, and the sidebar vanishes automatically when you pull the window in narrow. The dashboard looks much better for mobile, which might be a good thing? If Tumblr gets rid of their app and optimises the page for mobile use better, they can bring back the titties at least.
Unfortunately my filters went with it and I rely on in-body filtering way more than tags-filtering so as of right now Tumblr is unusable for me. Hopefully NXKit gets their version working on the new Dashboard soon.
